This is criminal...

arcade_garbage

Yes, these are two full-sized arcade games tossed in the dumpster in front of the Barley Works on King St.  Spotted at 10pm Thursday night.  Somebody do the right thing and rescue them.  And bring a few friends 'cause this dumpster is 6 feet high, though it does have a convenient ladder on the side.  This will take 2 divers in the dumpster and 2 on the outside to recover.  Plus a van or pickup.

Make: a better home for these games.

I would be happy to take one

By Anonymous
I would be happy to take one of the cabinets if anyone is planning on disassembling these. My boyfriend built a neo geo system a while ago but it's just wires and controllers that we have to hook it up to the TV to play because we have no cabinet :P Sadly I can't help rescue them due to being 35 weeks preggers, but can definitely enlist some help if need be! kelly@kellybaker.ca if anyone is interested!

... there was an offer to buy them too

By mghiemstra

Twitter user JulianSpillane says he offered to buy the machines earlier... now they're throwing them out. Ick!

I've got a van...

By jeff-o

I've got a van to haul these away, if I can get a helper to get them out.  Hopefully garbage day isn't today (though I fear it might be!) I'll be out till 2:30, if anyone wants to help just reply to this comment.

Criminal is right...

By amackie

I'm in, too.  If space is needed, and they can be disassembled, I can move/store the smaller pieces (probably not the side panels though).  I'm available after 7PM,if we want to do this clandestinely (ie after the bars close) I can set my alarm for something like 3 or 4am.

Edit: A driving game?!  Doubly criminal! Esp. if those are analogue controls...
