About Make: KW

Started in March 2009, Make: KW is a group of makers that get together to share stories and advice, show off their latest projects, learn new skills, hear from the experts and make stuff!

We are makers, people imbued with the do-it-yourself (DIY) spirit who would rather create than buy. Makers are bold and creative when blurring the lines between technology and art. We're builders, artists, tinkerers, crafters. We knit, we sew, we hack and tweak, we recycle, we build robots that help build more robots. We create. We make.

Although not associated with the O'Reilly Media, we're inspired by Make: Magazine that has been inspiring the maker spirit and resurrection for the past few years.

Some members of the group are actively working on setting up a hackerspace, a place to meet up, collaborate on projects and a base-point for reaching out to the community.
